WHERE DO YOU PERFORM?
We are based in South Texas. We perform pretty much anywhere within a reasonable driving distance from our home bases. If you wanna know if we can bring our party to you -- give us a call at 845-270-5093 anytime!
CAN I COME SEE YOUR SHOWS?
Some of our shows are private parties, but sometimes we are hired to perform in shows for the public. When this happens, we can let you know via email or we often post the information on this website. If you’d like to added to our email list, just shoot an email to brad@justaddmurder.com.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BOOK YOUR GROUP?
Well, that’s a good question, and the answer varies depending on what show you want. We have something for every budget (unless your budget is, say, five bucks or something like that), so call us and tell us your needs so we can work something out. We have single characters available, full shows with a cast of 6-7, or two person shows. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. What we can say is that we cost less than most of the local murder mystery companies, and we’re funnier.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT TO BOOK?
Yes, we ask for a 50% refundable deposit when you book our group. You can get this deposit back if cancel within 2 weeks of the performance date.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO BESIDES MURDER MYSTERIES?
While Just Add Murder (JAM) was founded to perform hilarious murder mysteries, we have offerings that also include sketch and improv comedy shows, magic, children’s theatre, character actors and impersonators. We also do corporate team building and scavenger hunts. We also shoot comedy sketches for the World Wide Web.
I’M AN ACTOR AND I’M FUNNY. CAN I BE IN YOUR SHOWS?
Are you “funny-funny” or “funny looking”? Either way, send your headshot and resume to brad@justaddmurder.com and if you catch our fancy, we’ll give you a call. We tend to use the same actors over and over, but we can always use fresh blood from time to time.
WHERE HAVE YOU PERFORMED RECENTLY?
We have performed at Hill Country Retreat, Randolph Brooks AFB, Lackland AFB, Catlin Gardens in Slate Hill, NY. Holiday Inn in Middletown, NY. St. John’s University in Queens. Castle Tavern & Marina in Greenwood Lake, NY. Terrance on the Hudson in Haverstraw, NY just to name a few. If you would like references from past clients, we would be happy to provide them.
MY CROWD IS CONSERVATIVE. ARE YOU RAUNCHY?
While some of our shows have adult innuendo and, let’s face it, we are “murdering” one of the characters, we can be as conservative as your group requires. Some of our shows don’t feature a murder at all. We have shows to meet your needs, and we’ll be happy to adjust our scripts accordingly. And, of course, if you have a mature audience, we can also adjust our scripts to be more adult oriented.
DO I NEED A STAGE TO BOOK YOUR SHOW?
Nope. We can perform in most places with an electrical outlet and a little bit of space. We bring in a sound system for pre-show music and musical numbers. All you need is an audience (and dinner), and we’ll do the rest.
